i love sports (especially netball, football and cricket) and i love to bake. i’ve baked lots of cakes and sometimes even bread š
i have far to many memories with TeenRogue-probably because i’ve known her for so long and because our parents are good friends. My favourite memory would have to be the time we went to liverpool and we both thought we were going to have to eat snail at a really posh, french restaurant š Luckily we didnt have to and had an amazing time in liverpool.
I officially think my biggest problem is my lack of thoughts to write about. Sometimes I genuinely just run out things to tell you all so i figured lets do a prompt againā¦
Write about your dream home.
My dream home omg⦠so iām practically 18 and iāve been thinking about this since I was like 13 so this has loads to tell but i think iāll keep it short and sweet (like miss carpenter) and run through my top 5 plans for my DREAM home! (ft my fav pinterest board obvs)š
As per the usual i am obviously šgonna use a ton of pinterest pics so heres a couple of my favs
DREAM KITCHEN- im no interior designer but i am in LOVE with the colours and bold pops with the dining table not to mention the fact that the sink is under the windows. Necessary please and thanks š I love the interestingness of this room. The different colours. Just everything, nothing more to it šNot a want. A need. āļø #teaforlifeI love the pinks and reds theyre 2 of my favs especially at the moment. In love with the big light and would obvs have to steal my aura prints i have in my current bedroom now š”Me in mirror form and a visual of my whole dream bathroom end of šæ also also HAVE to have a massive bathtub for a lush relaxation
Anyways yaāll as i said short and sweet but this is just so super what I want. I would obviously put a spin on these but they are pretty much my whole image. I also canāt lie I am so heavily inspired by my current house which is all curated by my lovely mum.
If I had to sum up my dream house in 3 words then iām going for:
Anyways i literally cannot at all wait to get my own place not because i want to move out but because i can have a whole house that represents me. Iāve also already found my dream first apartment but thats a convo for another time š¤
As per the usual check out my instagram @teenrogueuk for the cooler me š«£
4 years oldā¦thats how old TeenRogue is now. As of Saturday 13th I turned 17 and i can happily say that TeenRogue turned 4!! I quite literally cannot believe this. Iāve probably been blogging for a total of about 6/7 years now but some of that was before TeenRogue.
Yes I do have to admit that sometimes I disappear for a while and then return with a really random post but anyways iām still here ahah x
But yeah quick happy birthday post for TeenRogue and iāve got loads coming soon (including my driving journey ahh)
When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
So iām trying something new and doing something abit different!
This is my first time answering a prompt but iāve seen them before and today this one just caught my eye because its a really interesting one not to mention the fact that I was a very big dreamer at 5 and thought I could do literally anything (I still think that aha)
When I was 5 I wanted to be a fashion designer and not just any kind but one of the greatsā¦I quite literally wanted to be dressing celebrities in ballgowns on a day to day basis! Looking back that probably wasnāt too crazy of a goal but more little me loving clothes and wanting to make it my job. That all changed a few years later though because I decided I wanted to be a fashion journalist which is the reason I started this blog to begin with so that wasnāt major either. I think though one thing that stuck was fashion and clothes and itās definitely something that is still a mass part of who I am and what I enjoy doing. I think that when I got to around year 9 I realised (in that identity crisis everyone had during covid) that fashion was a hobby not a career for me so I dropped to wanting to be a journalist (maybe food ahaha but that was random)
Then it was year 10 that I did my work experience at Rossendale Radio (loml) and I realised wholly and fully that being a radio presenter is what I want to do for the rest of my lifeā¦since then iāve stayed at Rossendale Radio building experience and iām preparing to go into another round of work experienceā¦iāve also been doing so many exciting things in terms of college and maybe my own little podcast (watch this space) and I am so buzzing to see where I can take myself with this career!!
New home!!
Moral of the storyā¦donāt worry to much about knowing exactly where your going it takes some time and even if you never figure it out: just go with the flow!!
So I guess I might have to try this prompt thing againā¦
1) sorry for being MIA but do not worry I will be coming back I was just focusing a lot on some other things going on and trying to balance loads but I promise I did not at all forget about you all!
So onto the exciting newsā¦(mainly for my uk people)
As you know, I do a lot of work for Rossendale Radio, which is a not-for-profit organisation who have to raise 25% of their income from grants and fund-raising activities.
We has been chosen to be part of the Co-Op Community Fund, so every time you shop in the Co-Op, you could support the radio station.
If youād like to help us out, either find us via the Co-Op app if youāre already a member or click this link and follow the instructions https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/82284
We are part of the fund for 12 months, so are hoping to get a decent sum of money this time next year.
Pass it on to everyone you know who shops at the Co-Op if you will.
Thank you guys so much, Iāll be on 104.7 Rossendale Radio at 3-6pm every Tuesday and on at 7-10am on Wednesday 25th!
So guys iāve been MIA but thatās because iāve been so unbelievably busy doing lots of end of year activities especially since its the end of year 11 which means I have officially left high school and I start college in September. So for todays post iām going to be telling you about some of the things we did at the end of year, some summer plans, and some of my plans for the future!
Okay, so the reason you havenāt seen me in a while is because I was studying for and doing my GCSEās which are basically just big end of year exams that give you your final qualifications at the end of high school. Some of my exams were quite hard but some, most, were alright so all in all apart from them being tiring they werenāt too bad. One of the other things that we did at the end of the year was have a leavers assembly and shirt signing where I got as many people as possible to sign my shirt and we also got our leavers hoodies: I got mine in pink! Something else we did, last week, was something iāve been looking forward to since i found out what it was and that is:prom I loved it so much and it was such a good night: a LOT of dancing. So my feet hurt a-lot after but it was so worth it and it was such a nice night! Dress pictures will be up on my instagram @teenrogueuk
Next up: summer plans. So for me, this summer is exceptionally long because,as,I left year 11 at the end of exams, I have an extra month so these holidays are going to be extra boring. My main plan and activity for the summer is doing the radio at 104.7 Rossendale Radio. For the foreseeable future, I am going to be presenting the Valley Drive on Monday and Thursday from 3-6pm which is so fun and I am so excited to be building towards my final presenting goal. Also in the summer, iām going on holiday to Portugal to see my family which I am so so excited for- I canāt wait!
A picture from the studio!
Finally, my plans for the future, I have a BIG decision to make in these holidays and that is what college iām going to. I have 2 options and I canāt decide. Luckily, I have until results day in August to decide so hopefully I know by then but iāll do a more in-depth post about this later on.
So! There you have it those are my summer plans and what iāve been doing while iāve been missing but I should have more time this summer to write so hopefully youāll be seeing more from me!
So as you all know, its GCSE exam season which causes a lot (and I mean A LOT) of stress and worry so I thought maybe give some cutesy ideas about how to deal with that stress and maybe some revision tips:
Top 5 tips for dealing with stress:
Listen to music- its really relaxing but also distracts your brain for a while
Take a nap- take a power nap get some energy
Tea- drink a cup of tea and if you donāt like tea then definitely drink a warm drink
Go on a walk or do some sport- do some exercise. Get that energy out it might be making it hard to focus
Binge watch a tv show- I know that its not very productive but itās definitely worth it as a good way to relax and get your mind off the stress x
Now onto my top 3 revision tips (mainly methods). P.S. I hate revision I think it is so horrible and so draining but these are some recommendations
Do more than 1 revision method- sometimes just sitting there taking notes and copying info really doesnāt help and you need different things to get you more engaged
Pick your weakest topics to revise first- this means that if this comes up in an exam, your not fully confused which would make the exam 10x easier
Do quick recall- in my opinion the best way to revise is to write key topic points on a post it note and add enough information on the post-it to be able to answer a question well and solidly
So guys there you go, thereās some lovely tips and tricks for revision in this stressful season.
So as you all know, Thursday was my birthday!! I turned 16 but not only that, TeenRogue turned 3. I am honestly so proud of where iāve got with this blog and iām so grateful for all of you lovely readers. I did say that there was going to be a special cooking or chaos with TeenRogue coming soon and donāt worry because there will be iāve unfortunately not had enough time since my birthday to bake and decorate but it will most certainly definitely be posted by next week.
So guys long time no see⦠iāve been somewhat busy recently and iām so so sorry that iāve been MIA. But some good news- 1) its mine and TeenRogueās birthday in a week and a day and 2) its the easter holidays!!!
So lets address point numero uno- its mine and TeenRogueās birthday in a week. I am so excited because I LOVE birthdays so much I think itās so fun and its an excuse to celebrate and party so why would not enjoy it. My plan for the big 16th birthday is to go for bottomless brunch with my friends; drink mocktails, eat food and have a lovely fun time. But not only is it my birthday, itās also TeenRogueās 3rd birthday which is kinda crazy. I think for TeenRogueās birthday iām going to do an episode of the ever missed ācooking OR chaos with TeenRogueā. So look out for thatā¦
And now the second point- itās the easter holidays!! Iām am so unbelievably happy about this because I really needed a break from school and when I go back its GCSE GCSE GCSE so iāve been doing a mix of both relaxing and revisioning. I also personally think this is quite crazy because theres only 2 months left of my high school life which is something I honestly hate thinking about but then at the same iām excited for college and stuff like that.
So yeah thats it I think your all caught up⦠more coming next week.
So as you can probably guess from the title⦠I have got some exciting and pretty fun news.
So heres the backstory, 2 weeks ago, my mum and little brother took a fun little trip to crufts. On their return from said dog show, they had come to the official conclusion hat we were going to be getting a dog and so as a family we made a very swift decision to get a dog (thats the exciting news).
Okay. So I know that for you this news isnāt as exciting as I made it sound but for me this is a pretty super very big thing considering that i donāt actually like dogs. I probably sound like a crazy person right now but fun fact, I hate hate hate dogs, especially ones that are taller than my knee which is why when deciding what dog to get, my one condition was that it had to be small and fluffy because who wouldnāt want a fluffy dog??
So heres the dog revealā¦
Meet Ace ā¤ļø
Heās so super cute and chill but also really fun to play with at the same time.
Thats not the only news from this week. I also got my mock results back but im going to do a separate post about that and include some other stuff with it.
